Who Are You?

Who Are You? is a question one of my professors in graduate school asked our class. It turned out to be a very powerful exercise.

It's a question I asked my therapy clients. It was very enlightening for each person.

I encourage you to ask yourself Who Are You? or you can ask Who Am I?

Here are the instructions:

Ask yourself the question.

Your answer can be only one to three words. (You don't need to say I am at the beginning of each answer.)

Write down your answers.

You repeat the question a minimum of ten times at each sitting.

You can use a different tone of voice, which often elicits a different answer.

Every few months repeat this exercise, as some of your answers will change.

Check in with yourself.

Do your answers reflect who you really are?

Do your answers reflect who you want to be?

Do you need or want to make some changes?

If you do want or need to make some changes, try not to think up reasons as to why you can't make those changes. If you want or need to make changes, start now by taking baby steps.

If you need support or want to learn more about making the changes you want to make and creating the life you want to be living, I'd love to hear from you.

To Your Courageous Self!
