Pause and Look Back On Your Life

No matter your age, pause and look back on your life.
Reflect.
There have been some good times, bad times, times filled with joy, excitement, laughter, inner peace, courage, and love. And there have been times filled with sadness, guilt, shame, fear, disbelief, and maybe disgust.
And all of those times are a part of your life.
How does looking back or reflecting advise you? What have you learned?
I've learned to value each day, and each moment, especially those precious moments (hugs with children and grandchildren).
I've learned to give thanks for the things I often take for granted: my body, breathing, heartbeat, basically being alive.
I've learned to value and give thanks for God's creation.
I've learned that I can stretch outside my comfort zone, and allow myself to be vulnerable in a safe way, and to continue to grow and change.
I've learned that I am always changing on the inside and the outside, and that's a good thing.
I believe there are seasons in each life just as there are seasons in nature.
I acknowledge that my body has a beginning and an ending, and I believe my soul lives on.
And, for me in my own life, I believe there is God, a loving and vital force.
In pausing and looking back at your life, what have you learned?
To Your Courageous Self!
