Are You Taking Care of Yourself?

There's a lot going on in our world: Some of it good--Some of it bad--Some of it wonderful--Some of it horrendous--Some of it uplifting--Some of it depressing.
We usually don't hear about the good stuff on the news, so we might begin to believe that it's all bad, horrendous, or depressing. But there is good stuff, too. We might have to listen or watch for it, but it's there. I promise you: It really is there.
And then in our own individual worlds aka our lives, the same things can be said: Some of it good--Some of it bad--Some of it wonderful--Some of it horrendous--Some of it uplifting--Some of it derpessing.
And usually, our own individual lives--our own individual worlds, do not make the news.
And we may feel overwhelmed, almost crushed, by the bad stuff. But try to look for the good. It is there. I promise.
We experience all of it: the good, the bad, and the ugly, and the highs, the lows, and the in-betweens. We can feel like we are on an emotional roller coaster--not a very fun ride.
And through that emotional roller coaster we need to be taking care of ourselves. Now, that can be a challenge. Sometimes, it's a big or very big challenge.
Are you taking care of yourself?
How are you taking care of yourself?
Are you putting your own oxygen mask on first?
Are you spending time in nature?
Do you pray, meditate, or have quiet time?
Do you listen to uplifting music?
Do you dance?
Do you sing?
Do you read or write poetry?
Do you give thanks for what you have?
Do you express your gratitude?
Are you pausing for just a few moments?
Are you noticing the roly-polies?
How do you want your life to be?
Do you have the courage to pursue a life of health and well-being?
Are you saying "yes" to invitations?
Are you saying "no" to people, places, activities, and things that no longer serve you in a healthy way?
Are you thinking and saying positive comments to and about yourself?
Do you recognize how brave you really are?
Are your respecting yourself?
Are you taking time to be with people you enjoy, who lift you up?
And through all of this, remember to breathe.....breathe.....breathe.
