What if I Don 't Do It Right?"
This is interesting.
"Aoccidrng to rseaecrh at Stnafrod Uinevtisy, it deosn't mttear waht odrer the ltetres in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frisit and lsat lteter be in the rhgit pclae. Tihs is bcusease the hmuan mnid deos not raed ervey ltteer by istlef, but the wrod as a wohle."
Very interesting!
Are you able to read the above paragraph?
It's interesting how our brain works.
I've discovered I need some things to be in order, and then there are other things that appear to be in disarray but I can still find what I need, so it doesn't bother me (too much).
What about you?
Do you need things in your life to be in order or correct or just right?
Does that need get in your way of moving forward in your life?
Ask yourself, "What am I waiting for?"
Do these words sound familiar?
"I need to do __________ first, before I start _____________."
"I think I would need more education first."
"I'm not sure I'm qualified to do that."
"What if I don't do it right?"
"I think I'm too old to do that now."
"I've got to get my life in order first."
Sometimes when we need things to be in order, it's really a stall tactic, aka procrastination. (May I suggest that you not put things off. Start now! Life is too short. I've just had another birthday that has reminded me of our limited amount of time here on earth to truly choose to live!)
This life that we each get to live is certainly a journey and often a real adventure with its trials and tribulations and things that go bump in the night.
But, I invite you to stretch outside your comfort zone, and journey beyond The Land of The Known (TM). This journey is different for each of us.
Remember the first paragraph in this blog: the brain only needs the first and the last letter of a word to be in the right place. I think that is also true for our lives.
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." (Ancient Chinese proverb by Lao Tzu)
Take the first step. Act!
