"Today in our granddaughter's class, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., the 3 and 4 year old children were given 5 paint colors that we all have in our skin tone, and asked to create the color closest to their own. Each completed color was discussed, how we all have all 5 in varying degrees, and our uniqueness and individuality honored.

"My eyes teared up as I read about it.

"Maybe we all need to go back to preschool so that we can be reminded of the things that are truly important in creating and maintaining a civil society."
